About our program

Our drivers are trained continuously to meet real road conditions and regulatory standards across Canada and the U.S. The driver training program is tailored to fit your learning needs, combining classroom instruction, online tools, and hands-on experience.

How it works

From day one, a dedicated facilitator will guide you through each stage of your training. You'll start with engaging classroom sessions supported by interactive online resources, then move into practical, real-world training with a coach by your side. But the learning doesn’t stop there.

Once you're behind the wheel, you’ll continue to receive support through one-on-one coaching, small group sessions, driver meetings, and ongoing access to our experienced training team ensuring you're fully prepared for success on the road

Key Elements of Our Safety Program

Since our founding, Bulk Carriers has established itself as a leading force in transportation and logistics, built on unwavering principles that guide every aspect of our operations. We approach each project with purposeful intent, being meaningful and action-oriented enabling us to get things done efficiently for our clients. Our commitment to ethical practices defines who we are. We maintain open, honest relationships with all stakeholders, following consistent behaviours that have earned us trust throughout the industry.

Ongoing Driver Training
Safety starts with knowledge. We provide initial and ongoing training focused on defensive driving, accident prevention, and best practices on the road.
Driver Coaching & Support
Our safety team works closely with drivers through one-on-one coaching, performance reviews, and real-time feedback using on-board telematics and camera systems.
Modern Technology
We invest in advanced safety technology such as collision mitigation systems, lane departure warnings, electronic logs, and GPS tracking to support safe and efficient driving.
Routine Equipment Inspections
Regular maintenance and thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections ensure our fleet stays in top condition and operates safely at all times.
Safety and Compliance
We strongly enforce compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and industry safety regulations. Our in-house safety team conducts regular audits to identify areas for improvement.
Culture of Safety
Every team member from drivers to dispatch to management is responsible for upholding our safety-first culture. We encourage open communication and proactive reporting of any safety concerns.

"So far working/training at Bulk Carriers has been a positive experience. Having come from the UK to Canada as a Truck Driver with 5 years experience the training has allowed me to get my standard as high as possible for driving within Canada & the US. All staff have been welcoming & I have had no issue coming to them with any questions or queries in regards to anything I may need. I would recommend anyone to come drive & work for Bulk, it has been a pleasure thus far."
